thanks guys. i think im going to go white jasmine white endurance matt as it is in the hall so lots of traffic.

one more question what would you recommend for the wooden skirting boards and stair bannister? i was thinking white gloss pure brilliant white. will this look ok?

If you go for an unusual shade keep a record of its name and batch number. We redid the bathroom and used an unusual pink paint. Picked a lump of dust off the dry surface to be left with the white showing trough. Obtained a tester from the company and applied six square inches and it dries to a completely different shade. One day I will repaint the whole wall and hope it goes away.
