Definately not Thailand with a 14month old. I have been there myself, for a start the flight is too long and once there it isn't child friendly.

I have 3 kids 6, 4 and15 months. We are going to Mexico in October (2nd time), the kids have also travelled to Cuba, and Dom republic and loved each one. I have taken my kids on long haul carribean trips from the time my eldest was 10 months. I loved each holiday but for the history I loved Mexico the most.

I have never given the kids extra jabs for the carribean- its not necessary. However depending on where you go in Thailand - especially the main land- you may need extra jabs (phuket is okay, I think)

Thanks for the suggestions guys keep up coming :D

I'd love to go to florida but is the baby a bit too young for Disney ?
Also would there be anything we could all do together (Rides and water park things) as opposed to waiting in line twice and swapping ? If you can't tell i'm a Disney Virgin :D

There are rides (particularly in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom) that you could all ride together, but I would guess that a baby would enjoy all the colour, festivity and music just as much. The parades and shows are fun for young children. On most of the major rides, that aren't suitable to take a baby on, you can do a 'baby-swap' - queue up all together, when you get to the head of the queue tell the attendant you want to 'baby-swap'. One parent rides while the other waits with baby, when they finish Disney staff will take them back to the loading point so that they can take baby while second parent rides. Stay close to the parks so you can go back to your hotel/villa for naps if needed. The water parks are great if your baby likes the water, and Animal Kingdom has all the animals as well as the rides. But there is much more to Florida than just Disney. We love Seaworld and Kennedy Space Centre is a great day out. Beaches at Cocoa Beach, Daytona and Clearwater all good. Everywhere is really clean, baby facilities are good and eating out not a problem with little ones. Exchange rate is also good at the moment so good value too!As you can tell, we are big Florida fans.
