The time has come, I am finally at the end of my tether with this farce of a company.

I have telephone (never use it), TV and Broadband.

Telewest was always a bit poor, but Virgin Media......

Now charge a fortune to ring their broadband fault line.
Scrapped Sky One and Sky Sports News
TV Service is forever off the air due to a 'technical' fault.

The latest...

My TV is broken (AGAIN). I rang up (only open now bewteen 9 and 8.

They will get a technitian out to me NEXT WEEK, and if I am not in between the hours of 9 and 4 when he arrives, I get fined £10. I demanded compensation and they offered me £2.20 off my next bill. Gee, thanks.

I really want to quit them, but here is my problem and this is what I want advice on.

I am selling my house so expect to move in the next 2-4 months.

I need broadband access, but could happily do without a TV or phon e(but I need this for broadband I think)

What would you do? Is it possible to join BT/Sky and then move house after a few months?

I really do not want to pay Virgin another penny.

See the thread I started about Virgin Media, had some good advice from another poster.

You can join BT or Sky and move house but then you'd need to give them notice as well (not just about contract, but planning the actual move too)
You might also end up starting a new 12 month contract from the day of re-installation.

Personally I would bin off Virgin Media and wait till you're settled in your new pad before committing to another provider. By then there may be some better deals on the market!

Trust me, i have no hesitation about dropping Virgin, but I can't do without the internet for 2-3 months.
