Samsung Galaxy S4 mini
Hello, Have just renewed my contract with Voda, ha ha, well someone has to!! Really don't know much about mobiles, didn't really want a fully touchscreen one but they all are now. My old Nokia had a keyboard and was touchscreen but don't really do many like that now and I was advised the other day that Nokia have been taken over by Microsoft? Don't know if that is true or how it will affect Nokia. Have always had Nokias in the past but perhaps time for a change.
Anyway, I don't want to spend hours downloading things on the Internet on my phone. I just want one to make calls on - negotiated unlimited minutes so great!!, send texts, check emails if I am out and not near laptop, take pictures, need stopwatch for work and alarm clock so don't need a fancy phone. They ordered me a Samsung Galaxy Mini 4, has anyone had experience of them? Are they any good? Bit worried the screen might be too small with it saying its a 'mini', Should I have gone for something else?

"ordered"?
If so, it's possibly too late to ask questions.
For your needs it's fine - assuming that the contract is not very expensive, as it costs just £100 on PAYG.
Be prepared to charge it almost every day - like any smartphone.0 -

Yes, I have ordered it, accepted the contract but I have 14 days to change my mind or change the phone.
It was £11 per month as I had £10 discount on my account. Also got 3 months free. With the unlimited minutes and texts that makes it a better deal than the £100 on PAYG.
I haven't actually seen one so am a bit worried that the keyboard and screen might be too small. I like a big screen and big buttons to press.
I've just ordered one of the EE power bars as I have EE broadband so at least I'll have some emergency power should it run out.
Thanks for your reply.0 -
They are fine. It's quite a good handset.'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.

4 inch screen is big enough for most.
If you wanted a bigger screen with basic smart phone functions it sounds like a Nokia 535 on Windows with a 5 inch screen costing way less than £100 would suit you better.0 -
I am writing this easily on my S4 mini, had it a couple of years and it's served me well. You will probably find some extra things to use it for.Evolution, not revolution0
