Brill thread well done for galvanising peoples interest in money saving ideas and promoting good food on the go.
Some ideas-
bananas and apples for breakfast (easy to keep, difficult to damage, easy to eat w/o preparation.
Quiche for lunch (again freeze if you have a cooking day before the working week starts)
Additions to salads (salad stuff is good value currently) anchovies, dates, seeds, avocado, walnuts (well any nuts actually)
Soups as suggested but could vary it with cold soup or cress soup for warmer days.
Well done to WantToBe SEDebt is a symptom, solve the problem.0 -

My LTW of chicken stew and rice was eyed with envy by my colleague and those who didn't see it commented on how lovely the smell was. I can't believe that until 3 months ago I never brought any lunch with me and spent at least £5 for lunch everyday. Twenty working days a month times three times five equals £300!
Well done on your light bulb moment. :money: :j0 -
Don't think I'm going to hit my target this month. So far this week, no work on Monday, taken out to lunch Tuesday, bought a sandwich today, and no work on Friday. Planning a salad tomorrow, probably tuna salad....3/100
