BT Mobile data rip off
V bad experience with BT Mobile data use. Somehow billed for £48 of over use charges. I don't trust their figures as the over use daily charges includes 2 days in the week before they say the allowance ran out. They're refunding 70p for these but can't explain why they are there. Neither will they give a breakdown of how the allowance was used day-by-day. The charges are way out of step with normal use patterns. Was like pulling teeth to get the complaint escalated. Had to ask them to confirm it was deadlocked first before the 'final answer' changed to an escalation. Although BT Mobile looks like a good deal on the face of it, it appears to be a costly rip off best avoided. Best regards Tim

Usual story with this sort of posts is updates .0

Having the data on means that your phone may have been using both the data and WiFI at the same time. Your phone may also have been updating Apps, Emails etc while you were away from your WiFi connection this means that the usage would have been correct. New android phones have an almost constant connection to the internet and are data hungry.0

This is something new.Thrift_spender wrote: »Having the data on means that your phone may have been using both the data and WiFI at the same time.
I don't think that there is any noticeable difference from old Android phones in this respect. Everything can be controlled by the user.New android phones have an almost constant connection to the internet and are data hungry.0 -
With my Android phone if you are connected to a WiFi network mobile data is turned off.Thrift_spender wrote: »Having the data on means that your phone may have been using both the data and WiFI at the same time.0 -
