Love reading this, well done. This could be this week's challenge. For those of you who don't use cashback regularly and you should be, check if you ever opened an account and didn't use it, you might have some cash waiting for you

Everyone who does not actively use cashback, check if you have ever opened cashback accounts and have some money setting in them. Some really old ones have closed down now but quidco and topcashback are still going strong.

Thank you :) I'm sure this thread is really going to motivate me
  • Been a really busy day at work so not had much chance to try and make anything extra. Did sort out a final gas bill for a relative though who was moving house. She didn't have a nectar card and was due some points so she was happy for me to use mine. 580 points added which ups my balance by £2.90. Also earned a further 8 nectar points at a BP petrol station which is another 4p!!
Total on day 2 stands at £17.49/£310
  • Well done, everyone, on the money you've made so far this early in the month:T

Hello and welcome to all the new people on our challenge:wave:. Good luck with your money-making. Don't forget to ask if you'd like anything explained, we're a friendly lot and love to help:beer:.
And please let is know if you have any interesting ways to make a bit extra that we might not have thought of yet.

A bit more to declare here.

Morning all! Just wanted to check - if I buy a loaf of bread and then upload the receipt to claim it back on Checkoutsmart, does that count towards my total once it's confirmed??

Thank you! Have a good day all.

I would claim when you actually withdraw the minimum from checkoutsmart as it can take a while depending on what you are buying

    Well good morning everyone :j

I hope everyone is starting their month with a bang - Mercury is Really moving forward again (for those interested) and it's showing in terms of energy flow! Love the constant flow of newbies to this thread too - it's only my third month but am Totally addicted/motivated/inspired by it :D

Have had a lovely surprise. I've been trying to regain access to a very old building society account for quite some time but made a concerted effort recently as life has finally calmed down a little. The society made errors setting up the account, meaning I couldn't gain access online and repeatedly forgot about it over the years thinking there was only a few quid in there anyway. In a bid to finally tie up loose ends, I contacted said society armed with a file full of id and evidence to get it sorted and closed, only to discover there is actually......£497.53 in there!!!!!! :T

Am blown away, that equals a months worth of income off the solicitors fees in one go.

I'm still going to aim for the full £300 earnings this month, but I wanted to post about it in a similar way the 'check your old cash back sites' message was sent the other day. I was convinced I'd never be one of those people who finds masses of money forgotten in old accounts as I know where every penny is, but it can happen to any of us. Life sweeps us away sometimes and it's easy to forget, so PLEASE CHECK OLD ACCOUNTS!! You have nothing to lose :)

second challenge of this week then, will post links in a mo.

and interesting what you are saying about mercury. wish it would push me to do more. I have been slacking last 3 weeks, mainly because hubby has my car and not been able to MS due to time restrictions and having to spend my money on travel :(

trying to get back into it today.
