Hello all, I had a big blitz on the weekend with dh and now the house is at a reasonable baseline, just need to maintain and improve rather than dealing with a total bomb site which was overwhelming me :(

My 3 surfaces are the patio (I've got lots of plants to sort out) :D, kitchen office area and sitting room side tables

Narco - I was cringing for you - hope they are ex mice this morning.

Another speedily dispatched 5 mins after first. At least I didn't have to spend the night worrying about a spouse looking for the first one.

Ooh I like a pick'n'mix. My surfaces are definitely my office desk, the lounge coffee table and the kitchen (though I feel the latter counts as about 5).
    Also need to:
*plant any stray plants in pots/modules/greenhouse that need to go in the garden
*continue to hoover up vast numbers of craneflies from every carpet in the house.
    *prepare paperwork for tomorrow's assessment
    *email more paperwork to uni
*get on web site and cancel milk
*go into town to get a new coat in G0 0utd00rs sale (I hope) and a few toiletries. Scottish flyladies - are the midges out in the Argyll/islands area yet?
*hoover the church and water flowers

Sure there were lots of other things but sitting here typing them won't get anything done.

Best recovery vibes to all poorlies and their children.

Spent a not so pleasant half hour squashing caterpillars! They were everywhere! Not finished yet but will wait until they become more accessible - don't want them falling in my hair!! Where are the birds when you need them - they'd have had a veritable feast!

Been for a long walk with d sis and done the majority of kitchen - tops and floor. Will update my list and see what's next.

PANIC ALERT - WOLFY THROWING A WOBBLY; FEEL FREE TO SKIP THE FOLLOWING
I have a letter from the car insurance bods, demanding £458.00 for their "costs" They say it's a Final Demand - I have never had any previous correspondence regarding this. They also have me down in the letter as the driver of the other vehicle, the one that rammed us.:( I wasn't even driving our car, I was a passenger; I only rang the insurance first off after the crash because Mr LW was so shaken he couldn't operate his smartphone (we both hate touch screens, and I have an old fashioned "dumb" phone). I called Mr LW at work, and he rang them; they didn't seem to understand what he was talking about. So I've emailed them, and sent a scan of the letter, and of an excerpt from the Police RTA report, showing that someone else was driving the other vehicle (they quoted the reg no in the letter).
It looks to me like they should've sent this to the other driver, but they've got their wires crossed; but it's got me really upset and scared, as they talk about things like County Court proceedings.:(

    I'll shut up now.

What a bunch of incompetent whatsits. Try not to stress too much although it must be hard. Focus on lovely dogs, sun etc and imagine how embarrassed the insurance company will be when they realise what they have done.
