Isn't there a 17 inch TFT with DVI,500:1 upwards contrast ratio and sub 12ms or less?

Exactly that - doesn't such a TFT exist for less than 200 quid?!

There are so many 17 inch TFT monitors and yet none of them seem to have thaht combination in one!

At there 19 inch level there are seem to be more options for DVI but then the repsonse times are lower and cost is more! Also I dont have space to a 19incher!

So is there something like the above spec for a 17 inch?!

Thanks

www.aria.co.uk have a very good range of fast 17 inch monitors. It was impossible to find out if many were DVI or not online.
The figures quoted by manufacturers must be treated with care especially if they are a selling point. Many of these response times are for black to white. For black to a shade of grey they can be much longer. Read an independent review of your proposed purchase if possible.
Contrast ratio was an overhyped quantity. If something is so bright on one part of the screen you will not be able to see an adjacent dim object whatever the technology.

Got mine today - have just put it on and it seems quite different to a CRT screen - slightly more grainy?

Anyway maybe I need to adjust it still - but it terms of looks and picture refresh rate it seems v good.

Will post further into about it as I find out more.

    Thanks
