Wrist Watch being Held to Ransom! Help!!!

This could create problems in work for your friend. If you value the friendship at more than £80, then I'd bite the bullet and pay what they're asking.
If there was no friend involved then I'd be looking at an LBA then small claims.0 -

The police will not be remotely interested in a civil dispute. The OP handed the watch over voluntarily. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Thanks for all the replies.
Don't any of you take up comedy for a living will you....
Seriously though, if a friend wasn't involved, I'd be doing exactly as the more legally minded suggest.
However, as there is a friend involved and I know that, that person values the employment, I will pony up the cash and put it down to experience.
Thanks once again for the time a lot of you have taken.
Cheers for now.0
