maybe yes , maybe no , UKCPS issue about 800 court claims per annum afaik
you have the right to dispute this invoice and defend yourself in court if they try a small claim, the small claims procedures have been in force for 42 years , so has the 6 year time window
welcome to our world
as to what do you do ? that is your choice to make , not ours, we cannot decide for you, nor should we
we provide you with the facts, then you decide what to do, or not0 -
Unfortunately the IPC auditing of site signs will convince the totally independent IAS (tongue in cheek mode on) that the signs are sufficient.
However they are usually not were UKCPS are involved. If the signs are lacking take photos, and keep them.
It is your decision on whether to appeal to UKCPS and then the IAS, which will no doubt be refused. However if you were one of the few who ended up with a claim you can show you have acted reasonably.
You never know you may be one of the 70% of appeals allowed on mitigation as claimed by Will Hurley!! (tongue in cheek mode once again).0 -
So I'd be off to court sometime in the next 6 years? noticed this Penalty Charge Notice.
It's no such thing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I just got a £60 parking charge from the CPS in Leeds.
I'm a support worker for someone with disabilities and was heading to Armley Prison for the Special Olympics team training. We were in a hurry and pulled into an empty car park nearby as everywhere else was full. It seemed to be part of a private warehouse that looked abandoned. We didn't see any signs...I wasn't thoroughly looking though as was in a hurry and the person I was caring for began to get anxious and distressed. He told me it was where is other carers park and if was a Sunday morning...there didn't seem to be anyone around.

On th scammers home turf, so to speak.
Some would argue the scammers should be resident in the big house you were visiting.
Just follow the instructions and all should be well.0 -
It's the car park to the right on the hill to the visitors entrance. You can see it on google maps but I'm not allowed to post links as I'm a newbie :A
I just revisited the site and the signage is appalling. Fortunately I have taken photos. The place I had parked has another place next to it that says 'Parking Only (with a company logo). The place I was in used to have a sign but it seems to have been ripped off.
At the other end of the car park is a tiny sign Warning about parking. I truly believe it is unreasonable signage. I have the photos, I have the letter from the company. Fingers crossed 'ey!0
