This is the frightening bit, it sounds like to OP does this regularly, maybe they have the wrong user name.:eek:moneysavvy35 wrote: »Before I do this a good indicator for me is that a funny smell comes from the car and the heating dosent work.0 -

Thanks for the helpful replies.
The funny smell is the antifreeze. I did do some research & it states coolant does need to be added if thier is a small crack somewhere. I filled the tank with water rather than coolant a few years ago (mechanic I took it to at the time said the crack would be so small he probably wouldn't beable to find it) its this time round I decided to use the antifreeze/coolant rather than the water.
the smoke only comes when I put the heating on full blast.0 -

Why do people on the motoring forum in particular feel the need to berate people all the time?
Because when people are allowed to be in control of an extremely heavy lump of metal that can legally be driven at up to 70mph and they openly admit to not doing anything to ensure that it is safe to be on the road, I think that those people need berating.0 -

Educating maybe, not berating.
I'm sure there's something you're not so good at too. With a lot of people it's computers. What will your verse be?
