i have bought x12 zip large storage bags from the £ shop.
Have several plastic boxes knocking around the house and Husband had brought a few card boxes from his work. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

Not really King_Slayer, nothing too big...that we know about yet. Its a case of move in and make do as it is at the moment. Just alot of cleaning! it has been empty since Jan and it is alot bigger than we are used to.
We wont start moving our big things in until Saturday. Do you have much to do?
I got most boxes from work and have just borrowed plastic boxes from family that were sitting un-used.0 -
Has anyone used a packing service? We're thinking about it as we have vast numbers of CDs, DVDs and books on top of all the 'usual' stuff - I think if we had to buy boxes to pack it all we'd be well on our way to the cost of the packing service.... just not sure how I feel about people going through all my stuff!0

I haven't got a moving date yet but am in the process of getting quotes from removal companies and have acquired boxes via Freecycle. I'm moving 250 miles so my plan is to put the cats in a cattery for a couple of days. I want the removal company to pack their van the day before I move so I then have an evening to clean the current house (I'm always amazed at the dirt under my furniture!) and can collect the cats and drive to my new home the following day.0
