Well we currently live in a static caravan with fixed furniture so for us it's a case of just renting a van, throwing everything in the back and unpacking at the new place as we go.

Haha! We packed loads and needed two big vans to move us. When we moved in we then chucked out loads of stuff. I have no idea why we brought it with us! At least you didn't make that mistake! We've been in a few weeks now...0

We have not booked the removal van yet but it will be a large van and the helpfull men to carry it all.
When we pull all the stuff out. Shelves/cupboards etc it seems like we are taking a large amount. I think when we move in and see what fits more stuff will go.
I do not think we are tiny house people like on the tv.
No! we have a med. house :0)The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

I sold some things on eBay and got rid of a whole bunch of CDs, DVDs and books using WeBuyBooks.
That bulk of that packing shall be done today and tomorrow. My parents are arriving later today to help. I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. I'm always apprehensive before they visit.0 -
Sending another load of stuff to the car boot sale tomorrow :0)
My method seems to work well = pile the unwanted items in the hall and some family will soon give it a new home/boot sale. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Shattered today, attacked and packed 2 sheds, 1 more to go. Finished a lot of the main bedroom and living room but still have my daughter's room to go and kitchen to finish!0

I am moving in next week, get the keys Thursday and have only packed one (small) box

Best get a move on today!!0 -
Lottielou- we get keys on Thursday as well. Do you have a lot to do in new house, before you move in?0

Moving back to my parents place in 4 weeks, been renting a room in London for the past 4 years.
On the plus side, it's only one room rather than a whole house. But on the other hand I've accumulated a LOT of stuff since I moved here. Especially books, very few of which I want to get rid of
Yesterday I packed up most of my DVDs and started throwing things away. I need to get some old cardboard boxes from work as there's plenty of kitchen stuff I can pack up without it affecting the next few weeks, but I don't have any boxes for them at the moment (saving my big plastic boxes for the books XD)
I just need to remember to do a little bit every evening after work, and then I'm sure it'll all be done in time.0
