Unimpressed with 6230!

I just upgraded with O2 from a samsung E700, I wanted the D500 but they were having none of it so I caved and settled for the nokia 6230 which arrived today and imo its pants, the camera on my old e700 was far better, this one doesn't even zoom.

I'm sending it back which means I'll have to go without a mobile now cos I sold my old one (stupid stupid) and I'll have to go through the haggling for a better deal all over again, can I use this disappointment to my advantage?

Grr, I'm really fed up now!

From what I have heard from Friend's experience, O2 don't offer amazing phones on upgrades. You may be better off leaving for another network IMO.

For instance, I spend £30 a month with Orange, and I got a call the other day saying they will upgrade me to the Nokia 6680 For free in 1.5 months, which will be 11 months since my Nokia 6230 upgrade...

    :D

I've got a friend on Orange 200 anytime who wanted the 7610 but was told by Orange that an upgrade fee would apply so I told him to ask for a PAC code and say that o2 had offered the same tariff and phone for free. He did and he then got the phone for free. I think ALL the networks try and charge you for a phone when it comes to upgrading.

If you tell them you've changed your mind and you want a PAC code because Orange (or another network) has offered you the same tariff but the phone is free you may find that they'll offer you the phone for free.

MSE Martin had a similiar experience though with Orange, read this thread for more info.
