On a related subject, I believe that I can forward calls from my actual number to the Three number on my iPhone as there's an option within settings. They're both UK based numbers so would it be as simple as this or would I be charged a fee for every call?
IIRC, the charge should be as though you are dialling the number yourself from within the UK. Do you have 'inclusive minutes'??I realise that I could probably find this out for myself but I'm being too lazy for my own good.0 -
Admittedley a couple of years ago but vodafone coverage in australia was dire in sydney and almost non existent outside major cities, telstra had the best and optus was a very close second.
take a look at woolworths austrailia MVNO as they had good PAYG (pre-paid) bundles when i was there but beware their PAYG is like the oldstyle uk where the credit only lasted 30 days.0 -
Remember that it can only divert calls and not text/mms messages
There are apps that will forward texts, for example:
mysms - Mirror and sync your text messages between two smartphones by Up to Eleven

If the OP can leave the UK sim in an android handset there are even more apps for Android.
for example

EE include call forwarding in allowance if the number it is diverted to would be an allowance call (so any UK mobile would be).Call divert is included in your allowance where the diverted to number would have ordinarily been included in your allowance. Standard call rates apply to outside of allowance calls.

Not really the best thing to admit on here, then expect help!!
1. I have unlimited minutes and texts.
2. I thought that it'd be best to be truthful. Let's face it, a large proportion of the queries on here can be answered by the op. Why try to hide the fact?
Thanks anyway.0 -
Not an Apple story but :-
Got 2 x unlock codes from fleabay last night for 2 quid each, they arrived within the hour. Popped a Three All-you-can-eat sim in each phone and voila, off to Florida on Sunday. 2 happy daughters.
For the record, both handsets were Motorola Moto G locked to Tesco.0
