Is Carers allowance changing ?
Comments
-
I also find it strange the only check needed for Carers allowance is a letter to the person they are claiming for.
However carers are paid such a tiny amount per hour and I think a difficult form and assesment would be unfair. As it is only awarded for caring for people with proven needs who do go through the forms and assesments i think there is some safety check there.
I'd be very interested if the amount is changing..and is this rumour the amount the carer receives or how much they can earn before they become ineligible?0 -

How am I wrong when you failed to provide any proof of your nonsense? (a bit like this thread)0

This is a recent story and of course nothing is confirmed yet

From the article scrapping carers was proposed but vetoed by DC.0 -
I saw an OT yesterday to obtain a blue badge - who (amongst other things) informed me that Carers allowance was increasing in amount (quite considerably) - I knew that the rules were possibly changing - but nothing about the amount increasing....
Does anyone know what he was on about ?This is a recent story and of course nothing is confirmed yet

Nothing in that article indicating what the OP States about CA increasing. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

The discussion moved on from the OP (post #6) as to whether CA was going to be axed.
I was responding to that tangent.0 -
An interesting question...
Does 35 hours CARE entitle a carer to WTC ?
If not - why not
And if it does - how much would a carer be entitled to (at a rate of pay that would put a Chinese NOKIA factory worker in the shade) ?0 -
