Is Carers allowance changing ?

I also find it strange the only check needed for Carers allowance is a letter to the person they are claiming for.

However carers are paid such a tiny amount per hour and I think a difficult form and assesment would be unfair. As it is only awarded for caring for people with proven needs who do go through the forms and assesments i think there is some safety check there.

I'd be very interested if the amount is changing..and is this rumour the amount the carer receives or how much they can earn before they become ineligible?

Nothing in that article indicating what the OP States about CA increasing.

Does 35 hours CARE entitle a carer to WTC ?
If not - why not
And if it does - how much would a carer be entitled to (at a rate of pay that would put a Chinese NOKIA factory worker in the shade) ?

A Carer can claim Income Support to top up their money.

Wrong - IS is meant tested and has nothing to do with NI Contributions.
