Can anyone tell me if it's possible to view the screen of another pc on my network? (Checking teenagers internet use!)
Thanks.
Thanks.
I love a nice juicy "kebab"...

I'd like to know how to do this too - and I've been trying to access the webcam on my desktop upstairs from my laptop downstairs over the wireless network but cant seem to make it happen - an ideas???? I presumed it would be possible in the same way I access the printer upstairs but maybe not.0

its not possible to do this real time (as far as I know) but there is software you can install something like this
perfect key logger
this software logs every key pressed and takes snapshots of whats being viewed, every website address visited, messages typed in MSN and I think this program will also email you the log as well!
It hides in the background and the user is totally unaware of its presence0 -
Software such as Radmin will do it, but in most cases you'll have to pay for the privilege.
Tried Windows XP's Remote Desktop?0 -
xp's remote desktop will not allow you to "log in" in 2 places at the same time!0

I wonder if it would be possible to split the monitor cable from their computer - attaching one of the splits to the kids monitor and another to your?
splitters are available but what would the signal be like going through such a long cable? (which you would have to lay all over the place)
(just lateral thinking out loud)0 -
Remote Desktop only comes with Xp Pro I think, and if you login remotely, it logs the person using the machine out.
Try, VNC. I can't remember if it shows that someone is logged in remotely though to the local user, but you will be able to see the screen at the same time. It's free too.
If you just want to check the Intenet usage you can look in the History of the browser, although I imagine your teenager will already be cleaning that. Also, if you have a router, many router have logging functionality, such as logging all the web site requests. I know mine does, that might be worth looking into."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
There are lots of good ideas here but if you want simple I think perfect keylogger is ideal for this job, easy to setup, no extra equipment wiring required!0

What about "Remote Assistance" built into Windows XP? Go to 'Help and Support' for more info on the START menu.
