some people always have to moan about something, I didn't see what I wanted this time so I'll wait to book next time and hopefully get 2 -3 then
Being patient could get me more chance of getting what I want.
I've got two Sun Holidays still to go to over this coming Summer.0 -
Todays codeword is AURA
Last one that I'll be posting this promotion.
I hope all who booked their Holidays with the help of this thread has a great one.
See you again Aug/September0 -
Well i stayed up until midnight last night and by 1am had booked two reasonably priced (including mandatory service charges and optional entertainment charges) breaks in west Cornwall. A September break at Parkdean Mullion for £86 and a May break at Parkdean Sea Acres (by all accounts a much better park) for £70.
So thanks for the codes OP and lets hope for some good weather. Happy holidays folks.0 -

I try and book all Parkdean sites, I find they are far better accomodations.0 -
Hi, first of all I'd like to apologise if I am not allowed to post this on here.
In the sun promo I booked a 3 night break for 23-26th October
And a four night break for 26th-30th October at NODES point on the Isle of Wight.
We are not able to use these breaks now as unfortunately they do not have any pet friendly accomdation:(. And we wouldn't go without our dog!
I just wondered if anyone else could make use of these dates? Please get in touch , thanks Harriet0 -

One thing to bear in mind though is the booking is in your name and unless names are changed you would be liable for any damages.
If you do sell it phone the campsite to get the names changed.
They could charge an Admin fee though.0 -

Thanks for replying, I have spoken to Park resorts and they are willing to change the name and address for a £20 admin fee per break which is fair enough, just don't want to see the holiday go to waste it's just our luck!0 -
Hi everyone, I am wondering if any of you would be willing to help me out. I booked a Sun holiday for the first time on Monday online. I was very careful to pick a holiday that was only 9.50 each and had no service charges or entertainment pass fees as I had previously seen on this forum that they can add up - indeed a adjusted the booking dates etc until a holiday came up that did not include these fees. However I have today received an email from Park resorts asking for an additional £43.75 in service charge and entertainment pass fees.
I have included the wording from my booking confirmation from the Sun below, where it clearly states service charge and entertainment passes are free.
I am wondering if any of you who have booked would be willing to let me know if you had these charges for your holiday and if you did were they included in the confirmation from the Sun once you had booked? I have checked the booking site as if I were making a new booking for the same holiday and the service charge and entertainment pass charge are now clearly on there. I am concerned at how I can prove that these charges weren't listed at the time I booked. I don't want to have to pay charges which are more than the price I was led to believe I was paying.
My booking confirmation email from the Sun states this:
Holiday Date: Friday 02 October, 2015 for 3 nightsHoliday Area: 19 - SussexHoliday Park: 159 - Park Resorts Camber SandsAccommodation: STANDARD Party Size: 3Holiday Cost: £40.30Amount Paid: £40.30 (Paid Monday 13 July, 2015 @ 09:22:56)Service Charge* : FREE Entertainment Passes* : FREE Total Holiday Cost
: £40.300 -

That's very strange,I checked in the brochure and it states the same as the site service charge information.
PAY ONLY £9.50 - 5, 12, 19 October, 2, 9, 16, 23 November 2015 and 18, 21 March 2016
As it's obviously not your fault and its outside School Holiday time I would advise you to contact Camber Sands letting them know all the relevant information
I feel the Sun would point you to the no change of holiday policy.
Camber Sands is 0843 309 25530 -
Thanks very much essexboy! Have you booked one of these breaks before?
If you have then does the confirmation email from The Sun definitely show the service charge and entertainment pass charge in it?
Thanks for the help already given, I emailed The Sun contact form who (as you predicted) have referred me to the 'no refund' clause and lists the dates which you found in the brochure. It must be a website glitch. I will try Camber Sands.
Thank you!0
