Easyjet website error

Just booked flights on Easyjet website had two pages open with different flight details on. Price and details on one page showed flights showed total £352 clicked on pay now and came back with payment taken for flight shown on other page £494 and wrong date. Been on the phone for over 2.5 hours already and got flight changed but credit not refund for part of the extra cost. Anyone else had something similar? Thanks

Best thing is to write down a few notes about what has happened and to call again to sort it out.
When you get through make notes of the conversation for your records.
Btw this happens because of browser cookies.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Does anyone know how I can prove this happens, I am scared to go through booking procedure in case it takes booking and payment.0

Don't have more than one page open at any time and you will be fine. The correct flights and amount would have been shown on the last page so I doubt you will get easyJet to refund the difference. They've already made gesture of goodwill by changing your flights free-of-charge.0

Just thought it was fair to update this post. After speaking to Easyjet again this morning I was lucky enough to get straight through to a Supervisor. I explained what had happened and he has referred it to the IT department, he said the problem could be down to cookies but can't explain why the amount did not change on payment page until payment had been received. He was very efficient and issued a further credit voucher to make the total paid less the credit voucher the same as on the original booking page. I accepted this was reasonable until we got the results from the IT investigation. Much to my surprise about an hour later we received an email advising that they would credit a refund on to my Sons card instead of the credit voucher. I can only assume that they found a glitch or it wasn't worth investigating. This was my Sons first attempt to book flights and think he has learned a valuable lesson. I however have lost 4 or 5 hours time and am looking at receiving a rather large phone bill. In this instance perseverance paid off.0
