eDreams prevent online check in for Ryanair

Apologies if this is somewhere else, I did search the forums and found nothing, seems strange as I imagine it is a common complaint.

I booked my Ryanair Flight through eDreams. Not sure how that happened as I could have swordn I went thtough the site direct.

Anyway the problem is that Ryanair has this insane rule whereby you have to check in online and give them your ID details and print off your own boarding pass before you get to the airport (I have flown dozens of times with various budget and not so budget airlines and never had this issue before).

eDreams say that you can calle thier premium rate number at £1.02 a minute and they will 'walk you through the process' or alteranatively if you 'don't mind the extra effort you can do it yourself on the Ryanair website'.

So I tried to do this on the Ryanair site and I get the message that my booking can't be identified and that I must contact the 3rd party site I booked with to check in.

How is this legal?

Ahah I am an idiot. Even though the message I got was about 3rd party airlines, it was in actual fact that i out in my check in details for my return flight, that's why it wouldn't let me do it. I only had one confirmation number from e dreams so assumed this was the one for both but on the itinerary there were two confirmation numbers. I thought I would reply in case someone else made the same error.

I have to say that I don't quite understand the issue or the resolution that you have posted. However I would point out that the Ryanair online system, far from being insane, is the most simple and efficient online app that I have used, and no you don't have to print out your boarding pass, its held on your phone.
