We used LED Hut to replace every bulb in our new house - not the cheapest thing to do all at once, but our electricity bills like it. We've had none fail (in 14 months, we expect them all to last longer than we plan to stay in this house).

Also note you can get decent cashback through quidco, and they send out vast numbers of offer codes if you give them an email address.

I've experienced the vast numbers of offer codes they send out once they have your e-mail. I never bought anything further from them as i don't believe any company can send out that many discount codes the discounts be genuine. Seems to be just a marketing stunt.

I've had a few failures from LED Hut so I tried another supplier.

https://well-lit.co.uk/. They sell brilliant products and are a good company to deal with, can't fault their guarantee either.

You'd be gutted then if you knew what they cost me on my trade account and they STILL make money on them....

Quite, i wasn't look for the cheapest option though, with electrical items lowest price means you end up buying twice.

Thats who i ended up using thanks to Almiller recommendation on this forum. Very impressive company and the owner Chris spent a lot of time with me explaining colour render and kelvin. He then sent me his spots to try in my kitchen without taking any payment and even suggested i should also get samples of a rival product, which surprised me to say the least.

I ended up buying this LED https://well-lit.co.uk/product/7w-dimmable-led-spot/ but also bought a few of the competitor products he named https://www.savemoneycutcarbon.com/product/soraa-led-vivid-3-gu10-7-5w-spotlight/

He told me the Sorra product would be ever so slightly better, but at double the price and i have to say i agree with that synopsis entirely. Both lamps were super but the Sorra lamp was not worth double the price of the well-lit one.

I can thoroughly recommend these for quality and value. I bought some and was very pleased. The light quality and brightness was better than the 50w bulbs they replaced..

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

But this is MSE - where cheapest rules!! :D [I agree with you, but about value - not price alone]

Light quality was better than a 50w halogen? Really? The retailer doesn't publish a CRI rating, must be the first LED spot to reach CRI of 100 out of 100 ????
