I've been in a helicopter 4 times and once was a trial lesson.
The best one was over Niagra falls because of the views.

Flying a helicopter is very tricky, so they do 2 of the controls and just give you one (the stick). I thought it was quite scary but still enjoyable.
  • can you enter this under two email adresses or does that mean you won't win anything at all?
  • lisyloo...what was the helicopter flying like?...is it worth trying even if i don't win that prize?...was it expensive?

do you think that there is actually a prize...or do you think they just use it to get our emails?
  • Mike,

I think that this is a genuine competition.

It does seem a little strange that it is being run in tandem with Toshiba and Transformers as it seems to have a fairly tenuous link to either/both of them!

I have actually been up in my gf's dad's helicopter and i think it would be well worth having a lesson - however I think you would have to look into how much it would cost if you seriously wanted to take up the 'hobby'.

In reference to your worries over emails and the prize - I am sure that a reputable company like Tioshiba would do things by the book so I would not worry about it at all.

Good luck mate, I've entered - but if I win then you can have a go because I've been in one before! - Now that's what i call charity!

  • thanks bargainboozer...I've found quite a lot of places where I could learn, but it seems really pricey...this just seemed like a good place to give it a try for free...i've no doubt that i won't win, but its very kind of you to offer...though i'm not sure how you could transfer it...i guess we can work that out if you were to win...thanks anyway, m1kebr00ks.
  • Mike,

I really wouldn't enter numerous times as it's unlikely that you will be awarded the prize if you do enter again and again - even under different email addresses. It's really not worth the risk if you desperately want to win - perhaps just get your mates to enter too and you can always ask them to let you know if they win.

    Hope that's OK.

This is great, thanks. I wanted helicopter lessons so that I can fly over to my French gite when I win from TravelMail. lol. ;)
