Starbucks: Buy its £1 reusable cup and get 25p off drinks

What's it about?
Do you regularly visit Starbucks on your way into work?
It's not MoneySaving to spend £2-3 on a coffee shop coffee 5 days a week and you can do better if you take your own coffee to work in your own reusable mug each morning - use our Demotivator to work out exactly how much you do spend!.
However, if you're someone who just has to have that Starbucks fix each morning then there's a way to get you a bit of a discount.
Grab a reusable Starbucks cup
Buy a Starbucks reusable cup for £1, use it to buy your coffee and you'll get 25p off your drink.
Grab other coffees free
If you're not addicted to Starbucks there are ways to grab a free coffee from other cofffee shops.
See our Free Caffe Nero Dealshunter blog and our Food and Drink Deals.
What Starbucks says:
‘Customers who use their reusable cup will receive a 25p discount off their Starbucks drink every time they use it. Reusable cups are an important component of our overall waste reduction strategy, this discount is a way of encouraging our customers to make the switch to reusable cups.‘

Seems interesting. Anyone used this? Do the cups feel like they will last more than 4 visits/days?0

I've been using one daily for about 3 months now, it's my "extra-huge-first-thing-in-the-morning-coffee-oh-god-why-did-i-wake-up-today" mug.
In answer to your question, yes, it'll last. Drop it, throw it, kick it; It's just plastic, about as sturdy as a kid's travel cup.
Funnily enough, I never take it into a SB - the only times I go are when I'm with someone in town, it's certainly not part of my daily routine or anything, but I've still had plenty of use out of it.0
