Hi
I need to move my debt onto a 0% deal- so I applied for the Natwest CC and got offered a limit of only £1450 instantly online today - which is of no use as I need £6000!!
About 5/6 months ago I applied for 2 credit cards to move my debt as my 0% int was running out on the CC but was denied both cards- I think it was because they could see I was tarting as I cannot think of any other reason!!
So I've been suffering the 14.9% int in the meantime waiting until my credit history gets a bit better - but as the Natwest Credit card limit is no good to me- should I apply for the RBS card today as well or would that look bad on my credit history??
I rang Natwest (who I bank with ) to ask for an increased limit but they said I have to wait till I get my CC no to apply for an increased limit- and they'll check my bank accounts etc to see if they're in good working order and then they'll decide to increase it or not!
The other problem with this is I am switching away from Natwest to my new A&L account (with the view to closing my Natwest acc as soon as my OD is paid off) - and my monthly salary will not be going into my Natwest account this week and all my DDs have been switched etc - so they might not give me the increased limit due to this anyway?? I don't know iif this will matter or not but it wouldnt surprise me if they try to penalise me for moving banks!!
Any advice for me?!!!
Should I wait and ask them to increase the limit of the Natwest card
OR
refuse the Natwest card
OR
accept the £1450 Natest limit and apply for the RBS card?!!
Thanks in advance!!

Natwest and RBS are the same group. If you are going to apply for another card go for one from another provider. ie Capital One or MBNA etc.
Look here for list of 0% cards
