i have recently signed the petition that martin has set up on this site to send to number 10 about bank charges and their penalties, i'm amazed that only just over 22,000 people have signed it yet 4,247,928 of us have downloaded the bank charge template letters. so i say c'mon all you wanna be money savers lets all sign it and get us all noticed and help martin with his fab work. i love this site and thank martin and all the forum members for all their advice. still got nothing back as yet but i'm not giving up without a fight. trying to reclaim 5000 from Lloyds and am just about to go down the court route, so will have to wait and see x x x;)

Good on you! I don't intend giving up either!! I am still nagging my bank regardless of the stay.

I have also wrote to my MP and asked him to support the campaign. The more people that make a noise the louder the voice thats heard.

I have encourage at least 3 work mates to do the same. If one person can encourage 2 persons per week to do the same and the they do the same etc... we could top 100s of thousands in no time!

Anyone any views on if they think the petition will do any good.... ive been following many petitions on the 10 Downing Street Website for months and not one has done any good whatsoever Im not actually sure the likes of the PM will care less that any of us have been charged bank charges. Its the little folk that dont earn mega bucks that are the ones that suffer not the ones with all the cash that can afford to loose money here and there...

Has anyone had trouble signing the petition against bank charges on the downing street web-site? I used the link from the fab MSE site to sign the petition but all I keep getting is a note coming up to say that they have sent me an email that I need to click on to confirm my signature but I have never received the email to be able to do this and it has not appeared in my spam box either. I have made more that one attempt over a period of 7 days and am now starting to wonder whether there is some kind of conspiracy to stop people signing it!!???

check your allow list on your emails....could be the case that you have selected (only allow emails from my contact list)??...On the otherhand, I did sign and received back some months later that Downing St wont get involved in Law issues.
