Recommendations for cheap EPC

I was dubious of some of the online providers offerring what I deemed to be ridiculously low prices with national coverage; no idea how it could be profitable and based on some reviews deemed that they were probably going to result in trouble - missed appointments, paying but not receiving the report.
In the end I went with the £70 option offerred by my EA. I know it won't be the cheapest but the had a vested interest in getting it done quickly and without any difficulties.
When you're selling a house and having to shell out circa £1000 for solicitors, couple of thousand to EA's, stamp duty, moving fee's etc it didn't seem worth my while trying to make a £10-£15 saving on an EPC0 -

* speed: depends if you are in a hurry, but when you contact them they'll give you a date
* price: use the cheapest
* not getting the report: what? don't pay till you get the report! You know what happens to those silly sods on 'Cowboy Builders' who pay in advance.......
* missed appointments: as soon as they miss an appointment, sack them and get another!0 -

If you bought the property less than 10 years ago it should already have a valid EPC that you can just use.
Check on: https://www.epcregister.com/
Are you saying that if the sellers of my property had one done in 2009 for example and it's in the epcregister site (which it is) that's good enough for our buyers now in 2015?
Many thanks0 -
Yes the one done in 2009 will be good enough.
The only benefit you will gain by doing it again is if the original 'score' was very low and there has been enough work carried out to significantly improve the 'score'.
I would just download the 2009 version, very few people are actually interested in them anyway!!
