  • Hi ICBW

I have just sat and read the whole of your diary with a nice cuppa. I am so impressed with your determination to clear your debts.

One part of your diary that really stuck me was how you come across as such a fantastic Mum, your children seem very happy and content and can appreciate simple things.

The "friend" also struck a chord as I too have recently distanced myself from a family member in my instance which is difficult but some people just drain your soul.

Also I am an old timer who has resurfaced with a new user name (due to anonymity being compromised) and am slogging away at debt repayments which were mainly down to holidays so I feel like we have quite a lot in common.

I hope you don't mind me popping in from time to time with interest. I also have started my own diary which I hope will focus my attentions.

Good luck and keep going, you are doing great!

Thankyou for your kind words and for popping by and taking the time to read my diary.

We do sound very similar! I must find your diary and read.

    Take care.x.

  • Not much to update this morning as I don't seem to be able to get myself going, I think its going to be a lazy day at home. DS and I are still in out PJs and DD is sill in bed, oh well its not costing anything.

Maybe we will have a chill out day, kids can watch dvds and I can potter around doing housework and baking.

Do need to pack kids clothes as they are off to grand parents tomorrow.

Money news - paid £1.50 off N£XT, have also updated sig even though I said I would wait for new statement, it was niggling me as it said I was still in th 4s and I wanted to see a 3.
Need to find my daily item for £bay, have an item ending today but that only has a 99p bid on.

    Better go and get dressed.

  • Good afternoon diary,

Children were collected early this morning by Grandparents, so we are now child free until Monday morning. DH is working this evening, so I plan to have a long hot bubbly bath, glass of wine and watch a film that has a rating of at least 15 that doesn't have a character called carly, Jessie or spongebob square pants.

Once children had left I went and did the grocery shop, spent £57.53 and hopefully shouldn't need anything else until next Friday wit the kiddies being away.

Had an £bay sale, so I have sent £6 over to N£XT, also redeemed 1000 nectar points from E-R£wards and £21 from a survey site, probably wont get survey money until next month as it stated can take 30 days.

I need to find todays item to list on £bay and go and catch up on some more surveys, hope anyone reading is ok and have a good weekend.

  • £5 amaz0n voucher received from survey, Currently have £10 in my amaz0n account, going to try and add a bit more with surveys as DD announced this morning that her school trainers are feeling small,(why is there always something) so if I could pay for a new pair with vouchers it would be fantastic.

    Morning ICBW!

Your chipping away at Next is amazing! Really shows how all the little bits can add up, you'll be rid of that one in no time!

I've fallen behind with 3bay after a few non-sales. I swear people used to buy anything, now they don't even buy nice things!!

  • Good morning diary.

Apologies for not posting over the weekend, but as children have been away and DH was off work we thought we would have some much needed quality time together which seems to have made a difference with us.

Saturday the weather was beautiful, so we disappeared off for the day to the lakes with a picnic packed and spent the day walking and wandering around lovely places, we did stop off at a pub for a drink, so Saturdays spends were £5.70.

Sunday we spent the morning at home, DH is currently watching the boxset of 24, I sat with him and did surveys on the laptop, in the afternoon we went and watched mission impossible, so spends yesterday £19.98.

Only thing is I havn't listed anything on £bay the last 2 days, so that's messed up my challenge, will try and list 3 items today, did sell an item, only made £1.40 but its better than nothing and has been sent to N£XT account.
MB NA card arrived and have done a balance transfer, just waiting for it all to go through and then I will update sig.

Children are home today, so I better do some baking and decide what we are doing for the rest of the week, tomorrow will be a lazy day as I know they will come back shattered, maybe swimming Wednesday and need to think of something for Friday.

Hope everyone reading is ok and had a good weekend.x.

  • Waiting for children to arrive home and then going to make sausage, egg and chips for tea yum yum.

3 items ended on £bay today and nothing sold which is really annoying as nothing extra has been sent to N£XT account, re listed those items and listed 2 more items. Surveys have been pants today and I've hardly done any which is typical when I've no kids and home alone, tomorrow when kids are around and wanting lots of attention I will get loads, never mind!

Made some chocolate cupcakes that I'm waiting to cool then I will ice, might make some flapjack as well later.
