My daughter is going on one of these plus a £260 a week creative writing course, at 12 and an only child it's what she wants to do. Plus the old man and I don't really "do" holidays. One thing she'll have no excuse with her post holiday "What I did in the holiday's" essay!0

I have sent off for my son to go to the survival skills at Quantock, haven't heard anything back yet though.
Cheers for info on this.0 -
Absolutely agree Marigold! I can't believe the sour grapes attitude of some people who don't smile at the (mis)fortune of others. I can't get my kids on these because I live in Wales but I think it's brilliant that you and others have got this opportunity. People who find it annoying that people can get these holidays can only see things in terms of what they're not getting rather than what the kids that can go are getting.Marigold123 wrote:I
Any time you want to swap places just give me a call.

HLK did you ever get a reply back? Being in Wales I can't get my kids on the holidays which is a shame because I'm tearing my hair out trying to find something cheap enough to do with them. They would get so much more out of a holiday like this than anything I can afford.Torgwen..........

Thank you so much for this post, my kids have just returned, they did Kayaking canoeing abseiling sailing gorge walking rafting ........ the list is endless. The accommodation was great, it was so well organised, they were fed home made food all week, most of which was organic and grown on the location. They made new friends and had experience way beyond our means. It was also well disciplined, 4 kids got sent home for either mis-behaving or not being prepared to take part.
All in all one of the best money savers I've had through this site yet - well my kids think so.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!0
