    Even if it were true that she would have viewed drugs rather than other women more 'favourably', what good is that going to do?
    Create a lifetime of regrets for her?

    Another one for not saying anything to your Mum. Whether she as correct about the other women or knew about the drugs is irrelevant. She was not happy with the way things were and got out.

    She probably told you the easiest story and as your dad hasn't actually given you an alternative there is probably some truth in what your mum told you.

    She probably wouldn't thank you for bringing it all up again.
