Surprised no one has suggested this yet. This is by far the best cheap smartphone, and the one with flagship specs.
Yip. This is top notch. And it has just dropped in price due to the Oneplus 2 coming out in a bit.
£219 for a 64GB.0 -

i was also going to suggest this phoneDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -

Some old tech included (radio chip from the time of the iPhone 5) so no 4G on O2 or Voda and soon to be less than full 4G on Three and EE). Poor customer service if you have a problem and poor quality control with lots of yellow screens amongst other problems.
Not to mention the sexist campaigns to sell phones, "Pretty girls post your pics up on the one+ forum and if we think you are pretty enough we will let you jump the waiting list".
Not a phone I would recommend spending £200+ on.====0 -
For that budget I would look at LG G3

The problems you are stating are as vague and infrequent as the bendgate saga that affected a limited number of iPhones.
Regarding customer service - can't comment as I haven't experienced it, but other manufacturers (apart from Apple) hardly offer a stellar service and do the bare minimum when faced with issues. A trivial matter nonetheless.d123 wrote:Not to mention the sexist campaigns to sell phones, "Pretty girls post your pics up on the one+ forum and if we think you are pretty enough we will let you jump the waiting list".
Lol. If the OP has ethical concerns, like you're suggesting he/she should have, then he should probably not buy a phone at all. Most, if not all, manufacturers are involved in questionable practices.d123 wrote:Some old tech included (radio chip from the time of the iPhone 5)
Not exactly old.0 -

No, they aren't, the official one+ forums were full of unhappy buyers with regard to the yellow screen, the wonderful CS consisted of "send the phone back to China at your own expense and we will have a look and decide".
I forgot to mention the faults with the touchscreen as well. The official forum thread is now at 282 pages of complaints.

The official forum is full of complaints, not just a single page of one person complaining, multi page complaints with lots of users (a bit like the Vodafone thread here on MSE).
It's hardly a perfect device that just works well, that is for sure.ConsumerGuy0016 wrote: »

Yes, lots of companies tell the girls to get their photos online to check if they are pretty enough to buy their product :rotfl:.

yes, old, a phone sporting a radio chip that is as old as the iPhone 5 is old, selling a phone missing one of the more important LTE bands in use in Europe is just farcical and shows how little one+ understand the European market. Every network in the UK either uses, or plans to use 800Mhz, its omission was really stupid when the radio chips to cover all the required bands were available well over a year before the one+ was even announced (is that the sound of cost cutting I can hear?).
The photo in the Verge story sums up one+.

I bought a UMI Hammer last week , so far it seems pretty good for only £108 sent from within the UK , you can get one for around £90 if you take a chance on a delivery from China.0

Vodafone S6 Ultra £125, might be a struggle to get hold of one, still a bit thin on the ground.

Can be unlocked for about £5.0
