You can get the Core 2 Duo Dell one with larger 250gb and Vista Bussiness for less than that. Follow the bottom link in post 2 and costomise the pc to what you need, It should come cheaper and better.
Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time
  • Well i'm sat here looking at the Dell website. I must be very daft cos no matter how i manipulate the information on the website the computer in question is still marked up at the same price.....299.69

    http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&fb=1&l=en&oc=D08V01a

I shall carry on fiddling away here but it might be a lost cause...lol!
  • Ok, settling down now and reading from the begiining page it would seem that home essential desktops start at 269, so i am not going to find anything cheaper by using Dell.

Correct me if i'm wrong. It's a great site now i'm getting more familiar with it - but the price i got from a local store today is probably my best bet.

thanks but i did put the warranty to one year, i still get the same price, i must be looking at the wrong thing!

Can anyone give the actual link? I've tried every link on this thread and that's the result i'm getting. :-)

  • Ok the above was the configuration that i've come up with finally on the Dell site. I was in too much of a rush earlier to actually look at the site properly. Also i was following the link in post 2 not post 3.

Interested in your opinions on this one compared to the other spec i gave from my local store.

    thanks in advance! :-)
  • by the way the price for that would be £229.19

What kind of 'photo editing' will you be doing?
