ES Parking Enforcement - Warrington

  • Just a quick update! I received the NTK and although ES said I was out of time to appeal to them, I did anyway. I said the usual - signage, GPEOL, VAT etc. I got a reply from them today and they said they have cancelled the charge and that is the end of the matter! Bit shocked really as I was prepared to go to IAS and Court to beat this. Reading through other posts, it seems rare that the PPC cancel the charge themselves.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know the outcome and to say thank you to the people who helped me

Great, if rather surprising result. Well done!

ES are a bit of a new kid on the general private parking block (weren't with the BPA before IPC) - I just wonder whether they've yet to get all their ducks in a row and therefore less confident in pushing forward on things. Anyways, a cancellation is a cancellation.

Whilst not easy, try to steer clear of PPC controlled car parks, or as a minimum stay within their silly terms and conditions, because if everyone did this, they'd have no revenue stream. And while the odd 'win' against them is satisfying for the individual and those of us advising him/her, the big battle is at a higher level.

Tell your friends to steer clear too, and if you do boycott a retail park because of PPC infestation, write/email the retailers on site telling them why you, your family and friends won't darken their doors while XYZ PPC patrols their car park.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
