Can I get Broadband on my home pc through my 3G phone?

Hi all,

I'm after getting broadband in my flat (new build), which can't receive Cable and I'm not keen on paying the £120 odd BT connection fee before getting a home broadband contract....

I know orange provide free broadband with a +£30 monthly mobile phone contract but you still need a BT line I think, I'm confused. Can't I just get a free 3G phone on the contract and get broadband through that by connecting it to my computer (for £30)?

You can almost certainly find cheaper if you shop around and no need for BT Line

T mobile web n walk looks pretty good at £7.50 on top of normal monthly bill

Be wary of download limits etc.. probably a costly solution overall..

Thanks IFA. T-mobile looks ok yea, espacially as i'm after a phone contract as well as a new phone. I'm surprised no one else does this...or maybe I haven't looked hard enough.

The vodafone offer gets round the BT line problem but it doesn't appear you get a phone contract and phone with it. Shame.
