Long time ago, these beans were way tastier than Heinz!! they were the only beans we eat ,but now things different .Every time and every where don't forget to be happy.:rotfl:0

I've definitely found the sauce thinner and runnier and the beans appear to be more anaemic.
I don't eat a lot of beans tbh, but will look for a different brand if this continues. I used to like Sainsbury's own brand, but haven't tried in ages.

I don't often eat baked beans, maybe once or twice a month at most and find the Aldi Corale brand to be perfectly satisfactory having previously only ever eaten Heinz.0

We've switched to Aldi own label beans now (4-pack Corale red label), I'm fussy with beans and they're quite good and 425g per can.
I gave up on Branston Beans when they last reduced the weight - I think the final few we used were only 410g. They were 420g not that long ago.
I so wish the government would introduce standard can and pack sizes e.g. 250g, 500g for cans/jars/packets and maybe 250mm, 500mm, 1L, 1.5L, 2L for bottles. A bit like petrol/diesel can only be priced in litres. Can just imagine if petrol was always £1, but small print said that was for 0.8 litres.
That would stop them sneaking down the sizes while keeping the prices the same and hoping that us consumers won't notice or care.Never trust a financial institution.

I've started to stock up on the new own label in Asda. No added sugar or salt 4 tins for £1.20. It's got a pale blue label.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I've been a fan of Branston for ages but latest batch seem to have far too much sauce. I must check the label to see if drained weight has changed.
Thanks for heads up on Aldi and Asda as alternatives.0 -
We've only ever tried the Branston brand twice, some time ago, and didn't like them.
I agree with folks above , who recommend the Aldi version.0 -
Speaking about beans is it just me who doesn't mind the Smartprice/Value ones?0

Aldi beans are the only way to go. Even us die hard Heinz fans are now buying up Aldi beans by the caseload!0
