What has happened to Branston baked bean?

I have just started on a recent batch of BB and was very disappointed in the quality:o I had always prefered these to other brands.
Has anybody found the same?

Just had some tonight. I did notice that the sauce was slightly runnier and there was more of it. Personally, I like a saucier bean so I was happy but for those of you who like a greater bean:sauce ratio you may be disappointed by the change.

I tried some heinz beans and pork sausages the other day instead of own brand. They were horrid, sauce like water and lots of it. Haven't had a prob with branston beans which are my fav. plain beans though.

I can't say I've noticed any difference in Branston - like adsk I wouldn't mind too much if they were saucier as I like them like that, just not rock hard like value ones can be. Can't stand heinz as they just seem like a think gloopy stodge. Miss the days of 4 x Branston for £1 though

I saw them today in Poundstretcher 3 for £1, I've been waiting for some 4 for £1 to come up somewhere.

Totally agree OP! Branston is much preferred to any others in this house and my kids used to love the Branston mini pork sausages with beans which have now completely vanished. They only sell the yukky Lincoln sausages or other weird varieties now...

I was wondering if it was just down here in South Devon but maybe not then :cool:

I think the sauce used to be thicker and slightly darker. Wish they wouldn't muck about with my favourite beans!

Lidl do them on offer sometimes for £1.25 - last time it wasn't actually advertised in my local store, just on the leaflet. usually stock up with about 6 packs to do us until the offer comes round again.
