Ramblings of a Mad Woman!

B;@@dy awful day but as always learnt something from the experience. Its better to not panic and check all the facts - it can save you a complete embarrassing meltdown on the sea-front 10 mins before meeting a new customer for the first time! Had to sneak into boots for a drop of foundation to repair the damage to make-up as had left the make-up bag at home. Got to giggle (or cry again!)Business : Landlord[STRIKE] £26k[/STRIKE] HSBC OD [STRIKE]£1225[/STRIKE]0 CC [STRIKE]£3720[/STRIKE] Suppliers [STRIKE]£1326[/STRIKE]

Its a long time since I have posted and I apologise for that. So much has happened since so here's a short summary.
I had a period when I seriously thought I was going to lose it completely - panic attacks, inability to get out of the front door in the mornings - many of you will know the struggle. Anyway it took all of this for my husband to realise just how bad things were but now we have been tackling things together.
I managed to find a buyer for my business back in May - however this sale has yet to complete. never say never!
I found employment and all was great until I was made redundant after 5 months - worse off really as I now also have a car on contract to pay for - which was needed for the job.
All of this prompted the meltdown and resulted in the sale of our house. I thought this would be the worst thing that could happen when I was envisaging all the possible scenarios however it has turned out to be a marvellous blessing. The house ended up worth about 75k more than I thought. We have bought somewhere new which I absolutely adore despite it being half the size and very very very outdated!
I have cleared the debts with my suppliers, HMRC and made payments towards my credit cards and overdrafts. I am not out of the woods yet but dont feel as desperate.
Debts now:
Landlord £26k
C/C £10k and 3.5k
Business Bank - £19k
Overdraft £4k
If the business sale ever concludes the offer price is £44500 plus stock (c8k) so I will be almost clear. If the sale doesn't conclude then need to review again. I no longer own a house so no assets.
I have just got a job with a start salary of £30k which is brill news but they wanted the business sold. I may have to negotiate a start date without the conclusion of the business sale.
2016 is still setting challenges like 2015 but I feel in a better place to cope with them.
I hope you are all starting 2016 positively xBusiness : Landlord[STRIKE] £26k[/STRIKE] HSBC OD [STRIKE]£1225[/STRIKE]0 CC [STRIKE]£3720[/STRIKE] Suppliers [STRIKE]£1326[/STRIKE]

Nice to see you posting again - wow how much has happened? you certainly have been through it!!!
Hope 2016 is your year to get sorted and get some stability - job sounds good so hopefully business sale will go through (eventually!) and all will be well!!! Fingers crossed for you0 -
Frustrating day. Business sale has been going on since May and now we are supposed to be within days of agreeing an exchange date the buyer has decided he needs a survey! Really not sure of the implications of this but it is not what i needed to hear! I need to get started on my new job and get the business transferred.
Oh well tomorrow is another day.
Keep on keeping on everyone xBusiness : Landlord[STRIKE] £26k[/STRIKE] HSBC OD [STRIKE]£1225[/STRIKE]0 CC [STRIKE]£3720[/STRIKE] Suppliers [STRIKE]£1326[/STRIKE]

Ooh finally some good news!
Received a very official looking French envelope today - dreading the worst I finally got around to opening it. Read it once, then read it again - heart sinking to my boots looking at the €566 sum detailed within - then read it a third time and then did google translate as I was doubting my French! Actually got a rebate from the French Taxman!! Double checked the French bank account and yes - there it was credited to the account!
Hooray - that will got towards the co-propriete charges that are overdue. Bring it on! Thank you universe!Business : Landlord[STRIKE] £26k[/STRIKE] HSBC OD [STRIKE]£1225[/STRIKE]0 CC [STRIKE]£3720[/STRIKE] Suppliers [STRIKE]£1326[/STRIKE]

I've added a signature with all the gory details (At least I think I have - we'll see when I post this!) The business debts are not going to change much - in fact may go up as I pay the VAT and rent this month but I will concentrate on trying to bring down the personal debts. I'll keep you posted!Business : Landlord[STRIKE] £26k[/STRIKE] HSBC OD [STRIKE]£1225[/STRIKE]0 CC [STRIKE]£3720[/STRIKE] Suppliers [STRIKE]£1326[/STRIKE]

I think I am talking to myself here - but no matter it wouldnt be the first time! The thing that will rectify about two thirds of my debt is actually going to happen next week by the look of things. I should be ecstatic but I am really down.
Perhaps the reality won't be as bad as the thought of it - oh well no choice lets just get on with it and move on!Business : Landlord[STRIKE] £26k[/STRIKE] HSBC OD [STRIKE]£1225[/STRIKE]0 CC [STRIKE]£3720[/STRIKE] Suppliers [STRIKE]£1326[/STRIKE]
