Is this by any chance in a garage?
There IS a known problem with fridge freezers in garages.
The problem is that the termperature in the garage may not be above the 2-5 degrees required for the fridge especially in winter.
The thermostat on fridge freezers works on the fridge and this means it never comes on in the winter as the fridge is always cold enough. However this means that the freezer never comes on.
We got round it by insulating our fridge against the cold i.e. making it warmer so that it comes on !!
Sounds odd but it solved the problem and saved us buying a new one.
BTW - there may be a setting for this scenario. We have the "super freeze" switch always turned on which is when it's somewhere that's less than 15 degrees. I found this by reading the manual (I'm a woman).
Here's a joke.
Q. How do you stop your husband reading you email?
A. File it under a folder called "Instruction manuals".0
