I've been a bit of an idiot, I got scared when I got the court paper. I already confessed. So if now someone had some advice, I'd love to hear it, it'd be appreciated0

Did you speak to Shelter in the end?Mortgage when started: £330,995

no, I spoke to CAB, which hasn't been helpful, and I'd like to try FRU but they may not have people dealing with Housing issues
I also had to go back to my hometown last week as I had a few issues in my family
I have left the flat so Shelter won't really come much into it I guess? The real issue is the money they are asking for the arrears0 -

Ring Shelter now. They deal with all manner of things and sometimes will represent you in court.0 -

I will, thank you0 -
I worry about you OP.
You came on here and lied in your initial post saying you don't live there, seeking advice and now you admit you do.
Lying when trying to avoid trouble is one thing, but lying and getting advice is another.0 -

I had received the court paper a few days before, I had panicked, that’s why I came up with this
I came clean (admittedly when everyone already realized) and I apologized. I wrote a statement to the Council which is 100% the truth
I called the FRU who said they don’t cover Council Housing today (they cover Housing on Wednesday), now I need to wait for next week and hope they cover this area, Court date is in 2 weeks (5th August) !!!
I’ll try Shelter later on today, but I am losing hope a bit
anyone know how to get legal representation which doesn't cost an arm and a leg ?0 -
I actually have to thank the people on this thread, God knows what I would have written in my statement in the panicky state I was
You guys made me see sense0 -
