Never once had a problem (touch wood) so I disagree - btw have you ever owned a Dell?

Yes, I work in IT and we have some Dell's (around 60 Dell laptops and about 30 Dell desktops)
Out of the laptops we've had probably a third that have had to be repaired for various reasons (not due to misuse)
The desktops do seem slightly better but we've still had a far few with hardware issues.
But each to their own.. I personally wouldn't touch Dell with a bargepole - cheap doesn't mean good value for money in the long run :D
