Before it was a sticky, it was well used, friendly and full of suggestions and ideas.
Everyone thanked each other, chipped in with ideas ideas especially sloppy and saveapenny.
So if you have every used it please show your support again.

i totally agree please bring back the old thread it was more user friendly and helped so many people. now it's so confusing and you don't know if they have been given a quote or not. bring back the old one please

I totally agree with the above comments. I think the beat my quote thing all though well intentioned is an absolute disgrace.

I couldnt agree more...and thanks for your comments annie. I do try and help on the beat my quote thread but half the time the op dont even say they have booked, are still looking and your lucky if you even get a PM back to say they have looked into your quote. The thread is a good idea in principle but when members (most) dont even update the post its very time wasting

Totally agree,this new beat a quote thread just seems like a waste of time.It was a good idea in principle but when put down to practice it doesnt seem to work that good at all.
At least with the old one you could see what the quotes were and they were helpful to numerous members.
Alot of members(especially some of the new members with only 1-2 posts) asking for quotes on the new thread are mainly coming on for a quote and never posting anywhere else on the boards to contribute anything else,they also never reply to the quotes they are sent which puts other members off helping in the first place.
A polite thank you wouldnt go amiss but it seems some members have forgotton what manners are.
