Just open up a 2nd TSB account and switch that one instead. That's my plan anyways

Thanks, but I've already got two and want to keep them both.

I would if I could, but any I open I'd still want to keep for the interest.

Do you mean open a regular Classic account rather than a Classic Plus?

I have already set up a couple of direct debits on a Classic Plus that I was hoping to use for switching before the above question came to me.

If I didn't have to open another account it would be easier. Do you know if a donor account is closed after switching away from it?

Do you want to switch or not? Switching = the old account is closed.
The normal classical account probably has basically no interest so you'd just open, switch (then that TSB is closed) then you have the new switched account at the new bank and your 2 TSB savings accounts.

If you want the DDs moving too just move them from the classic plus to the classic

Thanks, that's what I was after.

I'll use another account to switch from.

Did they give a reason? I guess banks don't normally give a reason for refusal?
