well this isnt exactly a replacement but because i didnt have a choice we signed up for an online service which gives out calling time without charging any service fee per day or anything like normal calling cards do. my sister using orange has signed up for www.yourcallworld.com service which gives 4p/min to india for me. hope this helps and dont expect anything to come up for orange.. i gave up the hope listening to all answers from CSAs and looking at the current mobile company trends

Nothing special about the YCW service.

http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php have been doing this for ages. Plus they offer 1p texts and cheaper calls from your landline, and you can pay by dd and track your charges online.

But there is a 4p connection charge which you would pay even if the destination number is engaged or unreachable.
