Morning all
Well done on your fundraising event Valli,
Dusty I hope your street party goes well
Shopping done and put away
Kitchen still looking spacious after yesterday's move round, it's amazing how clearing the work surfaces makes such a difference.
Going to try and finish the book I'm on today then need to sort out swapping the DDs WMs over and hope the one we are bringing rom DD1 does work.
Watched a rubbish DVD last night so that been earmarked to give away.
Finished going through the martial arts paperwork with DH, he agreed with all but one bit of the earmarked for shredding/recycling so can make a start on shredding the stuff that needs it.SPC~12 ot 124

Keeping fine vibes for Dusty's street party winging their way from yorkie towers.
Trying to rain here - will stick another load on and wait for a break in the weather.
DH has assembled a cricket tea for 24 this morning. On Thursday night he and DD2 made chocolate fudge muffins for the cricket. They used a packet mix which was supposed to make 24, but DD2 ate so much mixture they only got 16!!!!!!!!!!
These proved very popular and so this morning a second batch was made, without DD2's assistance. This time 23 have resulted! Draw your own conclusions folks - DD2 is claiming mine must be small, but they look fine to me!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
The rain has, gazebo shanty town under construction. Off for the cricket drop off.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

CY yeah I think your lot are like mine. Portion control is not their strong point!
Pouring down here, hope Dusty is having better weather.
Going out for a friends birthday tonight. Not sure whether to drive or not - I will feel rough tomorrow whatever I do.
Oh and I will do that shredding today. Might even manage to get OH to sort some of his paperwork.0 -
Kitchen sparkly
Bathroom next
DS de cluttered to work, DD going later then we are going to clean DS's room in Manchester and move him to his new place, all being well.
Since you're all busy (hopefully having a great weekend) I will edit this
Bathroom now clean, show screen strip drying as is the loo brush and holder, which are outside.
DDs dinner on, I am just finishing whoopsies soup ( not impressed so glad it was cheap) and I ironed. I didn't do washing because rain was forecast. Hi,
Hope the party goes well dusty
Wrote myself a massive paper list this morning in the hope that crossing things off in pen may give me motivation. So far I have cleared and wiped the kitchen work surfaces, paid a bill and that is it. What have I been doing all day? Out tonight for a meal so need to get the place babysitter-ready. Right, off I go properly now...0 -
Hi All
I have been MIA as trying not to spend as much time on the internet, but don't really know what I have been doing instead as the house is looking a little neglected.
DH is fishing for the weekend. DSS is at his Mum's wedding today, so there is just me and the dogs here, ours and his mum and dad as looking after them for the weekend, whilst everyone is at the wedding or recovering. The parent dogs are being a nightmare, barking at every little noise, they kept me awake most of the night so Sunday evening cannot come round fast enough especially as I cannot walk them due to the weather  and to top it all they are all asleep and snoring
I started this week's list when I got in from work last night and am aiming to complete it by Sunday lunch time.
All washing and ironing is done, the towels went on the line this morning when it looked like it was brightening up but now they are wetter than when they started :rotfl:
I am working methodically through the house, starting on the rooms that won't be used much this weekend and will finish with the kitchen tomorrow after preparing something nice for dinner for when DH gets home in the evening, thinking possibly Red Thai Curry with Prawns or if weather is still playing Crowded House maybe a Steak and Ale Casserole.
The lounge has been dusted, de-webbed, vacuumed, mirrors polished, windows and patio door cleaned and gleaming inside and out.
Hall, stars and landing have been dusted, de-webbed, vacuumed, mirrors polished, front door cleaned.
Bathroom and ensuite blitzed, bins emptied and washed, shower glass polished, toilets scrubbed and gleaming. Worktops cleaned, windows and mirrors polished, floors mopped. Clean towels, mats, sponges all in place.
Main bedroom dusted, de-webbed, vacuumed, mirrors polished. Will change bed tomorrow as no chance of getting bedding dry today
Spare bedroom dusted, de-webbed, vacuumed, mirrors polished.
DSS room can wait for him, I will just close the door
I will have a read back tonight and catch up on all news whilst having a glass of something cool and fizzy :beer:0 -
OH has been to visit his new grandson!
that make 4 gs plus 1 gd! I gather there may be another one on the way, poss Feb 2016, but it is very early and there have been so many problems getting them this far, so all is crossed, 3 were inplanted, one has a small heartbeat, 2 have vanished
but what will be will be.
