and most likely you'll pay for it when it goes down the drain.

You pay a sewage charge whether it goes down or not but you don't pay the water company for rain water.

didn't say you did pay for rain water...most water bills have a charge for run off water, water the OP most likely will be paying for, yet can't make use of.

So are you agreeing that there's a sewerage charge or are you saying your water company is charging you for rain water?

Water companies will charge for getting rid of rain water. That's included in the normal waste water charges, but if you live in a house where all rainwater is run to a soakaway, stream or the like, then you can have it subtracted from the waste water charge.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I think that RS2000 is perfectly aware how the system works ;)

Sniggings seems to be complaining that stormwater you have paid good money to dispose of is not going down the drain

Do you also raid the local council rubbish bins to ensure you can fill your wheelie bin to the brim each week sniggings :rotfl:

None of which makes any difference to the OP.

Technically you pay the water company for drainage as well as a supply of water. If you choose to use rainwater for recycling that's another matter.

Don't see what the issue is here tbh - my guess is that the developer may have a planning condition that requires some recycling of rainwater and this is the easiest way for them to do it...
