are the Barclays/Lloyds ones definitely interchangable with the RBS/Nationwide/Co-op ones?

My Natwest, Cooperative, Nationwide and Barclays card readers are interchangeable.

Sadly, Barclays PINsentry feature in their mobile app isn't compatible with the readers. :(

I've not been able to use my Barclay's card in my Nationwide reader, it generates a code fine but the Barclay's website doesnt accept it.

Had no issues using my RBS/ Nationwide ones interchangeably with each other. Didnt try another card in the Barclay's one to see they accept the codes it generates.

I frequently use Co Op reader with Barclays and vice-versa with no issue

Maybe the Barclays/Lloyds 'larger' readers work with all cards, but the 'slimmer' readers from RBS/Nationwide/Co-op don't work with Barclays/Lloyds accounts:think:

Have just logged into my Barclays internet banking using my co op card reader went straight in. It is quite an old reader (about 5/6 years) though so not sure if that makes a difference?

Personally, I've found NatWest, RBS, Coop, Smile, Nationwide, and Barclays all to be interchangeable.

HSBC, First Direct, and Yorkshire's devices are individually coded to the customer.

Oh, and Tesco Bank's card reader is interchangeable with all the above too.

i think my Lloyds cardreader, which is the same type as issued by Barclays, will cover all of my accounts (other than HSBC-based accounts) then. it certainly enables me to access my Barclays account.
