I've been using a Pi2 for the last month or so with no issues at all without a case, just sitting beside the TV. New case arrived, so fitted the case and now it's been sitting around 2 weeks as not had the chance to connect it all back up. Connected it all back up and no display at all. What i've done so far. I don't see how you can in any way compare a "hobbyist" device (which is what it is really) with an industrial rack-mounted server machine.
