Being Moved across to the new system

Has anyone been moved across to the new system yet?
I'm on CSA2003 scheme, my friend who was on the CSA1 1991 has had a letter stating his case is now closed and invited him to open one on the new system
I just wondered how far they are in moving people across as I know they were going to do in stages with the aim to have everyone moved across by 2017 is this still the case?

Yes, as far as I'm aware the target hasn't changed, though I don't think there's any logic in the way cases are being transferred.0

1. Nil Assessment.
2. Non Compliance.
3. Payment with No Enforcement, clerical cases.
4. Payments with Enforcement, non clerical cases.
5. Enforcement - DEO - Liability orders etc.
I believe the last group is the largest as DEO's were a popular tool and a number of people also volunteered like me to go onto a DEO.
I wonder if they are on schedule.....0 -
When the closure schedule was announced my husband was able to come to a formal written agreement with his ex. He offered her more than she would have got by changing to the new system and he agreed to write off the large amount of overpayment that he was owed. I think it shocked her that she would have been worse off on the new system (it had been a CSA1 case). Getting the private agreement is the best thing to happen for us and the child for ages, and hopefully it's better for the PWC too. To say that she has been hostile over the years is a massive understatement, but the CSA changes have pushed her to be more reasonable and by offering her more than she would get on the new system she has an incentive to make this arrangement work an we are free of the fear and uncertainty that only a parent with a CSA case could understand.
I would encourage everyone to try to get a private agreement but be fair, get advice first, put it in writing and make sure that your payments get to the PWC on time every time. It is essential that you get confirmation in writing from CSA that the case is closed before you start paying on the private agreement. We got the letter from CSA within days of the PWC asking for the case to be closed.0 -
Please don't get me wrong, but I suspect your partner's situation is precisely what the new scheme hopes to address.
Just ensure that any payments are fully documented, either bank transfers or with receipts. It's in both party's interests.
Anything increasing parental contact with the children is good by me.0 -

I would like to know how far along they are, I know they've defiantly started closing 1) nil assessments as my friend has had the letter and his case was closed in March0 -

Well they are not on 3 yet because thats me. I doubt i will get moved though as my liability should end next month. Daughter is 18, left school and not planning anything despite my best efforts so it looks like CB will end and so will my liability.
To be honest i guess a lot of cases in these groups will naturally end before they get transferred.0 -
Dont understand this at all, my son has been paying to the CSA for 18 years for his 2 sons, the eldest is now 19, and the youngest 16, even though he has hardly seen the children ,his ex made it very difficult for him to see the when they were young, and he couldnt afford to go to court, so hes still paying for the 16 year old, @£86 a month, which doesnt leave my son much to live on as his rent alone for a dump if a bedsit plus bills, but the reason i am asking is my grandson has got letter sayinghe doesnt have to pay anymore, and his children are under school age,i think the age it stopped used tobe 16, but withnot many jobs around most kids are going on to college, any feedbck plase on what is happening with this new system0

Does anyone know how far they are into the phasing over? Is it still on nil assessment or has it moved to non compliance yet?0
