My OH needed a book too so saved a bit and my library never has anything like the above. I do use my library a lot to can be forgiven. ( have a library at home two i.e. 4 bookcases 1 is small though. tee hee.
AND don't forget you can sell them back on Amazon when you have sucked all the juice out of them and shared it on hereI'll dig out some of my old books and articals - I have all the tightwad newsletters as well as the books (sad, sad, sad), they had a few extras in so I'll give everyone the benefit when I get chance

As for identical pairs - I have no idea why one foot should hole faster than another but they do. Mine do, anyway. So I buy "sets" of identical socks and just pair them up any which way I like.
When it's cold I just wear two pairs of socks. Watch out if you're saving your tesco vouchers for xmas, they are worth 4 times as much if you use them towards their "deals". We've got tickets for Lego land, a local zoo and renewed our membership to English Heritage for £44 worth of vouchers... total cost if we'd have done it seperately...approx. £170.
You could always use the vouchers for the days out and buy the value of tesco savings stamps equivilant to the voucher."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

I have the tightwad gazette. it is interesting. But it is all about getting the right mind set.
I was lucky I never paid for it in cash. I used a amazon voucher that I got from doing surveys.
One thing that it is spoken about is your comfort level. So you cut back until it makes you feel uncomfortable. So you then up the level a little.
She had 6 kids and a huge house with attached barn in the country in the US.
And she was able to retire from the tightwad gazette with all the money she had made.

Attitude + comfort level.
Fair to say, certain ideas shared may seem "sad, mad or a step-too-far" for others reading them, yet we all have differing attitudes towards how far we're prepared to go and just as diverse are the reasons behind doing so.
You have to find your own comfort zone based on your own attitude, just so long as we all have respect for each others diversity LOL

Well done on reviving your thrift muscle over the past 3 weeks :T I know what you mean about being easy to lapse at times, it's great to have somewhere to come, not only to re-ignite our enthusiam and remind us of ideas, but to have a good ole fashioned giggle and teasing too~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
