How you are informed of wins..

Gulliver's rang to tell me I'd won tickets to one of their theme parks and told me I just had to ring them when I was ready to book. Nothing in writing, I knew I'd entered a competition for tickets but wasn't sure where!

When I booked with Gulliver's they told me it was a UK Mums competition but I didn't hear anything from them!

I got a winning letter the other day, telling me I had won £100 :T
I have only ever had one phone call to tell me I had won, and that was in 2011.
I usually get emithers 'when' I win lol.

I remember those days! And we had to actually buy the magazines and newspapers to enter their comps (by post of course). I also scoured supermarkets and shops looking for the entry forms on the shelf edge. I won a lot more frequently in those days.
Although I have had three wins arrive in LWEs lately, all cheques.(From charity lotteries, not strictly comps)

Hi, hope it's OK to post a question here. For the email ones, if you win is it usually obvious from the email title that you've won, or could it be hidden in the body of the email somewhere. I have only been doing comps for a couple of months so I'm not surprised that I haven't won anything yet, I was just wondering how obvious it is likely to be! I am getting so many emails now from ticking all the boxes ;-) Also I noticed today that one of the comps had T&Cs which said that you had to claim the prize by 4pm on the day the comp closed at 10am, so you'd really have to be on the ball checking your emails regularly.
